Cardio Ambulance Service in Diva and Dombivli

Project Report

Title: Launch of a Fully Equipped Cardio Ambulance Service in Diva and Dombivli

Submitted By: Thrive Foundation

Executive Summary

Thrive Foundation proposes to launch a fully equipped cardio ambulance service in Diva and Dombivli to address the growing need for rapid and efficient medical care for cardiovascular emergencies. The ambulance will be equipped with advanced life-saving equipment and staffed by trained paramedics and healthcare professionals. This initiative aims to reduce response times during cardiac emergencies and improve survival rates by providing critical care during transportation to the hospital.

Project Background

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are a leading cause of death in India, with timely medical intervention being critical to saving lives. Diva and Dombivli, with their growing population, lack sufficient infrastructure for rapid response to cardiac emergencies. Delayed medical assistance often results in preventable fatalities. This project seeks to address this gap by introducing a cardio ambulance service that ensures quick and efficient emergency care for heart patients.

Objective

  • To      provide immediate and advanced medical care for cardiac emergencies in      Diva and Dombivli.
  • To      reduce the time taken for patients to receive critical care during      transportation.
  • To      create awareness about cardiovascular health and emergency response.

Scope of the Project

  • Location:     Diva and Dombivli
  • Target      Beneficiaries: Residents of Diva and Dombivli, particularly those at      high risk of cardiovascular diseases.
  • Key      Features:
    • A       fully equipped ambulance with advanced life-saving equipment such as a       defibrillator, ECG machine, oxygen supply, and ventilator.
    • Trained       paramedics and a certified medical professional available 24/7.

  1. Operations:
    • Launch       a 24/7 helpline for emergency calls.
    • Develop       a protocol for rapid response and coordination with nearby hospitals.
