Project Title: Raincoat and Tarpaulin Distribution in Tribal Areas
Introduction:
Thrive Foundation is dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities and providing essential support to underprivileged sections of society. As part of our mission, we initiated a project to distribute raincoats and tarpaulins to tribal communities affected by monsoons. These items were identified as critical for safeguarding against harsh weather conditions, ensuring basic comfort and protection. Location is hardly 100kms from one of the major metro cities of India i.e. Mumbai still they struggle with the necessities. Even today if any person gets majorly ill, he will have to be carried on the shoulders of the villagers as Ambulance won’t reach there. In Rains they struggle with the leakages in their houses, also most of the people in Tribal village are labourers for Farms from the nearby villages, so lack of Raincoats or Umbrellas impact their health specially in Rainy season.
Objective:
To distribute raincoats and tarpaulins to tribal families, enabling them to withstand heavy rains and protect their homes and belongings during the monsoon season.
