Project Report: Project Wheels of Change

Title: Distribution of E-Bikes for Needy Individuals Seeking Employment as Delivery Personnel or Starting Delivery-Based Businesses

Submitted By: Thrive Foundation

Executive Summary

Thrive Foundation proposes an initiative to empower economically disadvantaged individuals in Diva and Dombivli by distributing e-bikes to those seeking employment as delivery personnel or aiming to start delivery-based businesses. This project aims to provide these individuals with an environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and sustainable mode of transportation, enabling them to earn a stable livelihood and contribute to the local economy.

Project Background

With the rapid growth of e-commerce and food delivery services, the demand for delivery personnel has surged. However, many potential workers lack access to reliable transportation, which limits their ability to take up these opportunities. Conventional vehicles, such as motorcycles, involve high operational costs due to fuel expenses and maintenance, further deterring economically weaker individuals from joining the workforce. E-bikes offer a sustainable and cost-effective alternative, eliminating fuel costs while contributing to environmental conservation.

The areas of Diva and Dombivli, with their dense populations and emerging urban infrastructure, are ideal for this initiative. By providing e-bikes to individuals in need, this project will enhance their earning capacity, reduce unemployment, and promote green mobility.

Objectives

  1. To empower 100 individuals in Diva and Dombivli by providing them with e-bikes.
  2. To reduce financial barriers for individuals seeking employment in delivery-based roles.
  3. To promote eco-friendly transportation solutions.
  4. To create a self-sustaining ecosystem where beneficiaries contribute to local      economic development.
